Build your Profile Strength

Use the completeness checklist to improve the information Simplify uses for applications and matches.

Profile Strength measures how complete your Simplify profile is. Open your profile and use its checklist to find missing information, such as contact details, experience, education, skills, or preferences. It is not a score of your qualifications or a prediction of hiring outcomes.

Find and complete the checklist

  1. Open Profile and find My Profile Strength.

  2. Review the incomplete items. The checklist includes contact information, education, work experience, a resume, links, skills, job preferences, and employment information.

  3. Open the corresponding profile section, add or correct the details, and save. Return to the checklist to review your progress.

We use a completeness checklist because missing profile information can leave the same fields empty across several applications. Add accurate details that apply to you; do not invent experience or fill optional demographic answers only to increase a score.

What the information is used for

  • Copilot uses saved contact details, experience, education, and other answers to fill supported application forms.

  • Resume Builder can create a resume from your profile. Simplify+ adds AI tailoring based on your experience and the target job.

  • Job Matches uses your background and preferences to recommend jobs.

A complete profile gives those tools more information. It does not prove that you meet every requirement for a role, and a 100% completeness score does not guarantee an interview or offer.

Import information from a resume

You can upload a PDF or Word resume and choose to parse it into your profile. Review the results before applying them, especially duplicates or outdated roles. You can also enter missing information manually.

Profile titles, company names, and dates sync to builder entries linked to your profile. Tailored bullet edits update your profile only when you explicitly apply them. Uploaded files remain separate from both the profile and editable builder resumes.

Recruiter discovery is a separate choice

Turn on Show Profile to Recruiters if you want recruiters on Simplify to discover your profile. It is off until you enable it. The video shows that visibility control, not a step required to complete every application.

Your completeness score and match-viewing streak are different indicators. Check the dashboard for streak progress and Profile for the information saved on your account.
