Find referral connections with Simplify+

With Simplify+, open a job and choose Get referrals to look for people who may connect you to the company. A connection is a starting point for outreach, not a confirmed referral. You still need to contact the person and ask whether they can help.

Start from a job

1. Open a job in Matches, the Job Board, or a supported Copilot page.

2. Look for Get referrals or the company-connections section.

3. If prompted, complete the network setup offered there.

4. Review the people and relationship information shown for that company before deciding who to contact.

We built connection discovery into job views so you can check for a possible introduction while deciding whether to apply. You do not need to navigate to a separate legacy Network page to start this task.

What a connection result means

Connected professional network information can surface direct contacts and more distant paths to employees at the company. The result describes a possible relationship, such as a first-, second-, or third-degree connection. A more distant path may mean asking a mutual contact for an introduction rather than contacting the employee as if you already know them.

Company and relationship information can become outdated. Check that the person still works there and that you understand the connection. A result is not a promise of a referral, permission to use someone’s name, or a confirmation that the person is involved in hiring for that role.

Set up or add network information

Follow the current setup controls shown in the job’s referral flow. Depending on the options offered, you may be prompted to connect professional network information or import contacts. Review the requested access and the information you provide. Share only contact data you are authorized to share.

If you have completed setup but no connections appear, the available data may not contain a path to that company. Try another opportunity or contact support if the setup itself fails. Avoid relying on old screenshots that show a standalone Network navigation item.

Ask for a referral or information

Start with the relationship and a specific request. Explain the role you are considering, briefly describe relevant experience, and ask whether the person would be comfortable referring you or sharing information. A discovery result does not send the request for you.

With Simplify+, AI Email can draft a referral request from the tracked job. Add the person’s name and how you know them, then review the message before sending. Gmail integration can provide the sending route inside Job Tracker; generating a draft and connecting Gmail are separate actions.

Connection discovery is separate from referral rewards

Use connection discovery for your own introduction or job research. Use Simplify Referrals to recommend another candidate for a role with a stated reward. Their eligibility and payout conditions are separate from whether a connection is shown.
