Apply to a job with Autopilot
Choose a job and application settings, then follow Autopilot’s progress.
Last updated About 2 hours ago
Open a job on Simplify, choose Autopilot beside Apply, choose how to prepare the application, and confirm. Autopilot then fills out and submits it without a review step. Autopilot requires Simplify+ and is offered only on supported postings.
Send a job to Autopilot
Open a job from Matches, the Job Board, or search.
Choose Autopilot beside Apply where offered.
Choose how to prepare the application, including the resume and cover letter options shown.
Confirm to start. Follow the run in the Autopilot tab.
We designed this flow so the jobs you select can be completed while you continue browsing. Starting the run authorizes submission. If you need to review the completed form before it reaches the employer, open the normal application and use Copilot instead.
Choose the application materials
Default resume: send the resume marked Default in your documents. Check it before starting.
Tailored resume: generate a version for this role using your saved background and tailoring settings. Tailoring is included in the application’s credit.
Cover letter: Autopilot generates one if required. If the form accepts an optional letter, use the option shown to choose whether to include it.
Review your tailoring settings and profile in advance. Keyword or metrics emphasis changes how the resume is written, so supply accurate skills, experience, and results. Autopilot does not show you the finished draft for approval before submitting it.
Generated resumes and cover letters are saved in Documents so you can inspect or reuse them afterward. Updating a document later does not change the file already submitted to an employer.
Follow progress and understand the result
The Autopilot tab shows active runs and their results, including successful and failed applications. You can start other jobs while a run is in progress, subject to your available credits and supported postings.
One credit is used when an application is successfully submitted. Failed or cancelled runs do not use a credit. The tailored resume and cover letter for that application do not require separate credits. See the credit guide for the current allowance and reset rules.
Email codes and forwarding
If a supported application emails a verification code, Autopilot can receive and enter it through an email proxy on Letterfern (letterfern.com), Simplify’s partner domain for job application emails. Simplify sets up the proxy as part of the application flow.
Regular application correspondence sent to that address is forwarded to the email on your Simplify account. Keep that account address current. The proxy does not require a connected Gmail inbox; Gmail integration separately brings inbox conversations and suggested status updates into Job Tracker.
If Autopilot is missing or the application fails
Check that you are signed in to the account with Simplify+ and have available credits. Autopilot is offered only on supported postings and is not offered on a job marked already applied. The regular Apply option remains the route for other jobs.
A run can fail when it cannot answer a question, complete verification, or work with the application form. Check the result and any missing profile information, then use Apply to finish the employer’s form with Copilot. Review the employer’s confirmation and tracker status so you do not confuse a filled form with a submitted application.
