How to apply to a job with Autopilot
Handing a job to Autopilot takes one step. Open the job on Simplify, choose Autopilot from the dropdown next to Apply, pick how you want the application prepared, and Autopilot gets to work. It opens the company's application, fills it in from your profile, and submits it.
We built it this way because applying shouldn't add steps to your job search. There's nothing to set up ahead of time and nothing to come back and send later. Pick the job, and it's handled while you keep browsing.
Choosing Autopilot means submitting. There's no review step in between. And there's no charge unless it works: a credit is only used when an auto-apply actually goes through, so an application that doesn't submit costs nothing.

How to auto-apply to a job
Open a job on Simplify from Job Matches, the Job Board, or search.
Open the dropdown next to Apply and choose Autopilot.
Choose how you want the application prepared: a resume tailored for this role, or your default resume to move faster.
Confirm, and Autopilot starts on the application.
The Autopilot option appears only on postings Autopilot can complete. It supports a specific set of application systems. On other postings you'll see the regular Apply flow, and Copilot can still autofill the application for you.
Autopilot isn't offered on a job you've already applied to.
💡 Tip: You don't have to wait for one application to finish before starting the next. Send several jobs to Autopilot back to back and follow all of them from the Autopilot tab.
How to customize each application
When you choose Autopilot on a job, you decide:
Tailored resume: Autopilot rewrites your resume for this specific job before submitting it. Tailoring doesn't cost extra; it's included in the one credit. How aggressively it works keywords into your resume follows the tailoring settings you chose when you turned Autopilot on, and you can adjust those later.
Default resume: Autopilot sends the resume marked as default in your Documents. Faster, and what you want when the role is a close match already.
Cover letter: depends on the application. If it requires a cover letter, Autopilot writes one for that job. If a cover letter is optional, you choose whether to include one. If the application doesn't accept one, there's nothing to decide.
💡 Tip: Every tailored resume and cover letter Autopilot creates is saved to your Documents, so you can review or reuse it afterwards.
Where to see your Autopilot applications
Everything Autopilot is doing for you is in the Autopilot tab at simplify.jobs/autopilot. It shows:
The applications Autopilot is submitting right now.
Every application it has submitted before, including any that failed.
Once you choose Autopilot on a job, it completes and submits the application. There's no step in between where you review it. If you want to check an application before it goes to the company, use Copilot instead.
