Get started with Autopilot
Check access, prepare your profile, and understand automatic application submission.
Last updated About 2 hours ago
Autopilot is included with every Simplify+ subscription. Choose it on a supported job to have Simplify fill out and submit the application for you. There is no review step before submission, so check your profile, default resume, and application settings before starting.
How Autopilot works
We built Autopilot for the repeated part of applying: opening another portal, entering the same work history, adding documents, and completing the form. You choose the jobs; Autopilot handles supported applications for those jobs.
Autopilot uses your profile, default or tailored resume, and the application settings you choose. It can prepare a cover letter when the application calls for one, handle supported emailed verification codes, and submit the application. Follow the progress and result in the Autopilot tab.
Prepare your profile
Before starting, check these details in Profile:
Name, email, phone number, and location.
LinkedIn URL and other relevant links.
Work authorization and other saved application answers.
An up-to-date default resume and accurate experience details.
These supply answers for the application. If information is missing or Autopilot cannot complete the form, the run can fail. A failed application does not use a credit. Do not rely on a later review step to catch an outdated resume: Autopilot submits without that step.
Start your first application
Open a job in Job Matches or on the Job Board.
If offered, choose Autopilot from the control beside Apply.
Choose whether to use your default resume or generate a tailored version, and review the preparation options.
Confirm to start. Open the Autopilot tab to follow the run.
Autopilot appears only on supported postings and is not offered for a job marked as already applied. On other jobs, use the regular Apply flow and Copilot where supported. You can also start Autopilot from the iOS app.
Autopilot compared with Copilot
Choose Copilot if you want to inspect every field before the application is sent. Autopilot’s credits count successfully submitted applications; the current allowance and failure rules are in the credit guide.
Email verification and application mail
Autopilot can receive and enter emailed one-time passwords on supported applications. Simplify creates or reuses a forwarding address on Letterfern (letterfern.com), our partner domain for job application emails. Regular correspondence sent to that proxy is forwarded to your current Simplify account email.
The email proxy operates independently of Gmail integration. You do not have to connect Gmail for proxy verification, and forwarded mail can go to a non-Gmail address. Some verification emails are handled automatically without being forwarded.
If a run fails
Read the result in the Autopilot tab. Check your profile if details were missing, then open the employer’s application and finish it manually with Copilot. Check whether the employer already confirmed a submission before starting another application for the same job.
