Credits and failed applications
How Autopilot credits work: 20 a week, spent only when an auto-apply succeeds, no rollover. Plus what happens when an application fails and how to finish it yourself.

ποΈ How credits work
You get 20 Autopilot credits a week. Each successful auto-apply uses one.
A credit is only spent when an application is actually submitted. Queueing a job doesn't use one. An application that fails or gets cancelled doesn't use one either.
Tailoring your resume or writing a cover letter doesn't cost extra. It's included in the one credit for that auto-apply.
Your credits reset every week. Credits you didn't use don't carry over, so you start each week at 20.
You can see your balance in the top-right of the navigation bar on the website, and in the top-right corner of the home screen in the Simplify iOS app.
π« Out of credits?
Right now, you wait for your weekly reset. There's no way to buy more credits yet.
You can keep adding jobs to your queue in the meantime, since queueing is free, and send them once your credits come back.
We're working on two things here: a new plan with a larger weekly allowance, and the option to buy extra credits on top of any plan. Both are coming; neither is available today.
Getting started with Autopilot
β When an application fails
Autopilot is deliberately cautious. If it isn't confident that what it's about to submit is right, it stops and marks the application as failed rather than sending something wrong. That might be a question your profile doesn't cover, or a form that doesn't look the way it expected. No credit is used.
So most failures aren't errors. They're Autopilot declining to guess on your behalf.
When it happens, we let you know, and the application shows as failed in your History.
Finish the application yourself. Open the job, click Apply, and use Copilot to autofill it while you watch. You'll be able to answer the questions Autopilot wasn't sure about as you go, and Copilot works on far more application systems than Autopilot does.
Using Copilot to Autofill Applications
By far the most common reason for a failure is the one above: Autopilot wasn't confident in an answer.
