What you can do in the Simplify app for iPhone

The Simplify app puts your job search in your pocket. Swipe through jobs one at a time, save the ones you like, and apply on the spot: Copilot autofills the application in Safari, and if you're in the Autopilot beta, Autopilot can submit it for you. Your applications and your profile are in the app too, synced with the web.

We built the app because most of a job search happens in the gaps of a day. A commute, a line, ten minutes before a meeting. Those moments are enough to find a good role and apply to it, if the tools fit in one hand.

The app uses the same account as simplify.jobs, so anything you save, apply to, or edit shows up in both places. A few web features aren't in the app yet; they're listed at the end.

How to get the app

Download Simplify: AI Job Search from the App Store. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, and it's free. Sign in with the account you use on the web, or create one in the app.

Simplify+ is available inside the app. If you subscribe there, Apple handles the billing. If you already subscribe on the web, the app shows your plan under Profile → Settings, where you can manage it on the web.

How to Manage or Cancel Your Subscription

An Android app is in the works. Right now the app is available on iOS only.

What's in the app

The app has four tabs along the bottom.

  • Home: a feed of jobs you swipe through one at a time. Tap a card to read the full posting, save it, or apply.

  • Search: the full job board, with filters for location, job type, and more.

  • Applications: every job you've saved, applied to, or handed to Autopilot, grouped by stage. This is your Job Tracker.

  • Profile: your education, work experience, personal details, and files, plus the app's settings.

How Copilot and Autopilot work in the app

Copilot comes built into the app as a Safari extension. Turn it on once and it autofills the applications you open from the app.

Autopilot is available in the app for Simplify+ members in the beta. On a job Autopilot supports, the Apply button becomes an Autopilot button, and your credit balance is in the top-right corner of the Home tab. Which resume Autopilot sends, your default or one tailored to each job, is set under Profile → Settings → Autopilot.

Settings, notifications, and reporting a problem

Everything you can configure is under Profile → Settings: your plan, your Autopilot resume settings, the Safari extension, and notifications. New job recommendations arrive as notifications, and you can set how often you get them. If they stop showing up, Troubleshoot notifications on the same screen walks through why.

Hit a bug? Report a problem in Settings sends us the details along with your app version, so we can look into it faster than an email.

What's web-only for now

The Resume Builder and the cover letter generator aren't in the app yet. You can still apply with a tailored resume from your phone: choose Generate a tailored resume in your Autopilot settings and Simplify rewrites your resume to fit each job before applying.
