Simplify Referrals lets you recommend qualified people in your network for open roles that offer referral rewards.
When companies hire through Simplify, some roles include referral bounties. If someone you refer progresses through the hiring process, you can earn rewards for interview milestones and successful hires while helping someone in your network discover a great opportunity.
✏️ Note: You do not need a Simplify+ subscription to participate. Anyone with a Simplify account can refer or endorse candidates for eligible roles and apply to opportunities through referral links.
TL;DR
Refer people you know — Recommend qualified candidates for open roles with referral rewards.
Choose between referrals and endorsements — Share a referral link or personally endorse someone you believe is a strong fit for the role.
Earn rewards as they progress — Eligible referrals can earn payouts for interviews and successful hires.
Track every referral — Follow each referral from submission through interviews, hiring decisions, and earnings.
Browse referral opportunities
Companies use referral rewards to encourage high-quality introductions for roles they're actively hiring.
Each eligible job includes a referral bounty based on the role. Rewards vary depending on the position, with larger bounties typically offered for more senior or harder-to-fill roles.

Some opportunities also include interview rewards. If someone you refer reaches the interview stage, you may receive a payout before the hiring process is complete. This recognizes that strong referrals create value even before a final hiring decision is made.
Submit a referral
When you find someone who is a good fit for an open role, click Refer on the opportunity.
From there, you'll be able to choose whether you'd like to refer or endorse the candidate, depending on the role. Once submitted, the candidate moves through the company's hiring process like any other applicant, and your Referral Tracker updates automatically as they progress.
You can refer up to five people each week, so it's best to recommend people you genuinely believe are a strong match for the role.

Refer vs endorse
Simplify supports two ways to recommend someone for an opportunity.
Refer someone
A referral is the quickest way to recommend someone for a role. Simplify generates a unique referral link that you can share with the person you're recommending. They can apply through that link, and if they progress through the hiring process, you'll be eligible for any associated referral rewards.
This is the best option when you know someone might be a good fit and want them to complete the application themselves.
Endorse someone
Some opportunities also support endorsements.
An endorsement provides additional context to the hiring team. Instead of simply sharing a referral link, you'll complete a short form describing your relationship with the candidate, why you're recommending them, and how their experience aligns with the role's preferred qualifications.
Because endorsements provide a stronger recommendation, they may be eligible for higher referral rewards than a standard referral.
Track your referrals
Every referral you submit appears in your Referral Tracker, giving you a complete view of where each referral stands in the hiring process.
You can see which referrals are still pending, which have reached interviews, and which have resulted in successful hires.
The tracker also separates your rewards into two categories:
Total Earnings shows rewards that have already been paid.
Potential Earnings shows rewards tied to referrals that are still progressing through the hiring process.
As candidates advance, potential rewards move into your earned balance automatically.
How payouts work
As your referrals move through the hiring process, their status updates automatically so you can follow interview milestones and hiring decisions through the Referral Tracker.
If one of your referrals becomes eligible for a payout, the Simplify team will reach out with payment details once the hiring milestone has been confirmed. You do not need to submit a separate request.
Can I refer myself?
Yes, you can apply for any of the jobs listed on Simplify yourself.
However, applying for your own next role is treated as a standard job application rather than a referral. Referral rewards are only paid when one person refers or endorses another candidate who progresses through the hiring process.
If you're interested in the role yourself, simply apply as you normally would through Simplify or Simplify Copilot.
Build your Referral Network
Syncing your LinkedIn account helps Simplify identify people in your network who may be a good fit for referral opportunities.
Your Referral Network maps first-, second-, and third-degree LinkedIn connections against eligible jobs, making it easier to discover people who match open roles.
Once connected, you can browse your Referral Network to identify potential candidates before submitting a referral.
Referrals vs Networking
Although they both involve your professional network, Simplify Referrals and Simplify Networking serve different purposes.
Simplify Referrals helps you recommend people you know for open roles and earn referral rewards as they progress through the hiring process.
Simplify Networking helps you discover employees and hiring managers at companies you're interested in so you can build relationships, request referrals, and strengthen your own applications.
Connecting LinkedIn supports both features, but each is designed for a different stage of the job search.
Getting started
To start referring people, install the Simplify Copilot browser extension and connect your LinkedIn account to build your Referral Network.
Once your network is connected, you can browse referral opportunities, submit referrals or endorsements, and track their progress directly from the Refer section in Simplify.
