Resume Review

Resume Review is a one-time session with an experienced recruiter who reviews your resume live and provides detailed, actionable feedback based on your background, experience level, and the roles you're targeting.

Resume Review is a collaborative conversation. During the session, your recruiter works through your resume with you, explains why they're making changes, and leaves you with a stronger version that's ready to use throughout your job search.

Resume Review is a separate service from Simplify+ and can be purchased by any Simplify user.

Who Resume Review is for

Resume Review is designed for anyone who wants expert feedback before sending out applications. It is especially useful if you're:

• entering the job market for the first time

• changing careers or industries

• applying internationally and unfamiliar with local resume expectations

• unsure whether your resume clearly reflects your experience

• looking for a final review before applying broadly

Who reviews your resume

Every Resume Review is led by a senior recruiter from Simplify's network of hiring professionals.

Our recruiters have hired candidates at companies including OpenAI, Stripe, Databricks, Instacart, Spotify, and other leading technology companies and startups. They've spent years reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions for the kinds of roles you're applying to today.

That experience shapes every review. Rather than giving generic resume advice, they provide feedback based on what they've actually looked for when evaluating candidates and deciding who moves forward in the interview process.

Before booking, you'll select your industry and experience level. Simplify uses that information to match you with a recruiter whose hiring experience best aligns with your background and career goals.

What happens during the session

Resume Reviews take place over Google Meet and last approximately 45 minutes.

Rather than providing general comments after the fact, your recruiter reviews your resume with you in real time. You'll discuss what's working, what could be stronger, and why specific changes are recommended.

A typical session covers:

• improving wording, structure, and formatting

• identifying opportunities to strengthen impact and clarity

• ATS optimization and resume best practices

• industry-specific guidance based on your target roles and experience level

• practical next steps before you begin applying

By the end of the session, you'll leave with direct edits, personalized recommendations, and a clear understanding of how to continue improving your resume.

How to book

You can book a Resume Review from the Services page in Simplify.

Before choosing a time, you'll select:

• Industry: Software Engineering or PM/Business/Finance

• Experience Level: Junior (1–3 years) or Senior (4+ years)

Simplify uses this information to match you with the most appropriate recruiter before showing available session times.

Sessions are held over Google Meet, and the booking calendar automatically adjusts to your time zone.

Resume Review currently supports Software Engineering and PM/Business/Finance, with additional industries planned as the recruiter network continues to grow.

Pricing

Resume Review is a one-time purchase of $129 for a 45-minute live session for interns and entry level roles. It is $159 for more experience roles.

The price is the same regardless of your industry or experience level. The recruiter you're matched with is personalized based on the information you provide during booking.

Resume Review and Simplify+

Resume Review and Simplify+ are designed for different parts of the job search.

Resume Review provides one-on-one guidance from an experienced recruiter who reviews and improves your resume with you in a live session.

Simplify+ is an ongoing subscription that helps you tailor resumes, generate cover letters, answer application questions, and strengthen applications throughout your search.

Resume Review is not included with Simplify+, and you do not need a Simplify+ subscription to book a session.
