TPM job family to be added

I am a Technical Program Manager and noticed that when I signed up to receive daily job recommendations, there were no options specifically for Program Manager roles. As a result, I haven’t been receiving any relevant job alerts. The closest category I found was Project Management under IT, but it doesn’t appear to generate any recommendations either. I recommend adding a Program Management function under Engineering.

@Alan Chen program and project management, while related, often describe two very different job roles (one manages projects, schedules, deadlines etc for a single team/project while the other is usually responsible for coordinating multiple disparate teams’ schedules to achieve efficiency/company goal benefits.)

I am also a program manager/technical program manager and it would be very important to get this classification differently as it would exactly match my role exactly rather than match something related to my role. Thanks!

Additionally, separating Technical Program Manager and Program Manager would be important to distinguish a role that mostly focuses on engineers/dev and the other that usually focuses on cross functional business processes (and wow if you had IT Program Manager that would really be perfecto)

Thanks for clarifying this — I have created a ticket for this and we aim to add Program Manager as its own category soon!

@Tansu Hi Tansu — thanks for submitting feedback about the platform.

Have you tried looking at the roles under our Technical Project Management category? You can find this under the “Business & Strategy” category in the “Role Type” section of your preferences: https://simplify.jobs/preferences

Let me know if this is what you’re looking for! If not, I can try to create a new category for classifying these types of jobs.
