You can rename any resume that you created using our Resume Builder directly from the Documents page. Just click the pencil icon next to the resume name to change it to whatever you’d like.
However, if you're using an uploaded resume, that file will automatically be renamed following the convention firstname_lastname_resume.pdf. This is done to adhere to industry standards — many applicant portals require standardized filenames for uploads to go through correctly. It also ensures your resume is properly recognized and parsed on our platform.
Important to note: Most applicant tracking systems (ATSs) will automatically rename your file once it’s uploaded to their systems anyway, so recruiters rarely ever see the file name. The content of the resume matters far more than the filename.
