How to Deactivate or Delete Your Simplify Account

If you're no longer using Simplify or simply need a break, you have two options: deactivate your account or delete it permanently. Here's how each one works and how to take action:

✅ Deactivate Your Account

What happens when you deactivate:

  • Recruiters will no longer be able to view your profile.
  • You won't receive any emails from Simplify in the meantime.
  • You won’t be able to log into your account while it’s deactivated.
  • You can reactivate your account at any time. Your data and settings will be preserved.

How to deactivate your account:

  1. Log in to your Simplify account.
  2. Click on your profile icon and go to Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Account Management section.
  4. Click Deactivate Account and follow the confirmation steps.
  5. Please wait for up to 48 hours for the settings to be applied.


🗑️ Delete Your Account

What happens when you delete:

  • This action is permanent. All your data, including your Simplify Profile, resume versions, job applications, saved jobs, and tracking history, will be completely removed.
  • You won’t be able to recover your account or data after deletion.

How to delete your account:

  1. Log in to your Simplify account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Account Management.
  3. Scroll down and select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm that you understand this is permanent and follow the on-screen steps.
  5. Your account should be deleted immediately, but changes to any mailing lists may take up to 48 hours to apply.
